When I was a kid they used to spray DDT up and down the streets in the summers.
Yes, I remember those big fogger trucks.
And widn’t have the big mosquito populations then that we have now.
Most summer days, now, I can hardly be outside after dark unless I coat myself with repellant.
In the 50s, we used to ride our 24” Schwinn bikes in the fog behind the spray trucks, for many blocks. Heck, we even drank from garden hoses, rode in the back of pick-ups, had cars with no seatbelts and we’re mostly still here.
