Jerry Seinfeld's attack on politically correct comedy quotas drew a scathing response from a black comedienne who confesses she's never watched an entire episode of the comic's landmark sitcom.
Nicole Byer, whose credits include work on MTV and with the comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade, took offense at Seinfeld's response to a question asking why more people of color don't appear on his online series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
People think its the census or something, he said. This has gotta represent the actual pie chart of America? Who cares? Funny is the world that I live in. Youre funny, Im interested. Youre not funny, Im not interested. I have no interest in gender or race or anything like that..Its more about PC nonsense than Are you making us laugh or not?

I promise you, you will love them with the hot sauce. I hated sprouts, but my husband turned me onto them this way.
Actually, the olive oil and sea salt sounds pretty good, too...
Well, I am weirder than you. I actually hate pizza.
Yep....that's pretty sickening, lol.
I’m 78 YO and remember Moms Mabley and Redd Foxx on “Party Record”.
Moms’ favorite joke: Man 87 YO married 21 YO Girl. He died with a smile on his face and they could not close the coffin until 3 days after the funeral!
The other punch line was: They told the man,”marrying a young girl at his age could be fatal”. his reply “If she dies she dies!”
I’m 50, you win.
But now I know where that joke came from.
Thanks.
And -- it's very masculine, too.
And very mature.
Obviously, women and children and minorities are the most discriminated against.
Thanks This Just In.
“If that were the case, Lorena Bobbits husband would be famous.”
Aha! But you remembered HER name, even its proper spelling!
Never heard of her before and have already forgotten her name.
Regardless, her “husband” is NOT famous, and who knows where she is.
Your point does not stand.
Don’t thank me. Thank humorless “comedians”. :^)
LOL - the 'new' definition of being a Klan member is a person who won't invite you to their comedy group? OMG - she's nuts...
What a great idea...
Sadly, few comedians are funny. And when they are forced to be funny in constant tv appearances, etc, it gets painful. I mean they are forced to TRY to be funny.
Is this really an issue of dire importance to the black community in the US? I don't recall anyone complaining about the lack of white comedians on def comedy jam. I must have missed it when Russell Simmons was confronted with this fact and put on the spot to "explain" it.
This is just an extension of the victimhood mindset to which black people are told they must conform. It's come to the point where the PC crowd is looking at every situation, no matter how innocuous, and finding some racial injustice that must be addressed. If you disagree; you are nothing but a bigot, racist, etc. It's become tiresome already.
This so-called comedian will get more notoriety for her faux outrage over Seinfeld’s statement than for anything she has ever done in her comedy “career”.
