Yikes. Being without power in winter is so dangerous. Besides the obvious, a lack of heat, people often use candles for light, which can then cause fires. It's easy for a candle to be knocked over by a child, a pet or an elderly person.
Be careful.

It’s 8° outside here, and the heater is struggling to keep the house at 62°.
We turned it down a bit after having $400 electricity bills three months in a row.
