Following Dylan Farrows harrowing letter describing sexual molestation she says she suffered from father Woody Allen her brother Moses is speaking out to defend Allen, accusing their mother Mia of poisoning them against their father.
Responding to accusation first made 20 years ago that has bitterly divided the family, Moses accused Mia Farrow of turning him and Dylan against Allen as revenge for his affair with Soon-Yi.
Of course Woody did not molest my sister, says Moses, who is estranged from Mia Farrow and remains close to Allen and Soon-Yi.
My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister, Moses, 36, tells People Magazines new issue. And I hated him for her for years. I see now that this was a vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi.
Allen, 78, has denied abusing Dylan, arguing that Farrow, 69, coached Dylan, an accusation that Farrow refutes. Allen was investigated when the allegation was first made but not charged with molestation.
Speaking of Dylans childhood relationship with the Hollywood director, Moses continued, She loved him and looked forward to seeing him when he would visit. She never hid from him until our mother succeeded in creating the atmosphere of fear and hate towards him.
The day in question, there were six or seven of us in the house. We were all in public rooms and no one, not my father or sister, was off in any private spaces. My mother was conveniently out shopping.
I dont know if my sister really believes she was molested or is trying to please her mother. Pleasing my mother was very powerful motivation because to be on her wrong side was horrible.

I didn’t say *you* did, but most of the thread has been folks posting various and sundry false claims that make Allen’s relationship with and subsequent marriage to Ms. Previn sound not merely creepy, but actually incestuous.
No problem - but why did you post as a reply to me if it was not a response to me
Mia herself defended Polanski !
I was extending the line of thought I’d begun in my prior post, and posted the reply to the two folks who’d answered it.
It’s all gossip and it is ruining lives. Creating pain. It seems wrong when I see people making these hateful statements out there, and they are completely wrong, don’t even have the facts at hand correct.
Why take part in gossip? We all have no idea what really happened. It’s just not right to me.
Yes I agree it could be that Mia Farrow made this whole thing up because she was jealous of the relationship with Soon-Yi. If Woody Allen was partial to young girls (underage) then why has he remained married for the past 22 years to that same woman? Pedophiles repeat. Why hasn't he repeated? I think this was all made up.
Hell hath no fury...
I read Woody took one and Mia and Dylan would not take one.
Ah, well that says something. I’ll be careful and say it’s still inconclusive, but with nothing else to go on...
Personally I would only take a lie detector test as a last resort. They can be wrong occasionally, usually because the guy doing the test does something tricky.
Woody Allen is a millionaire Hollywood mogul on the verge of getting a lifetime achievement award by powerful, fawning friends who often chide the rest of us for ignoring the plight of weak victims.
What pain is he feeling now?
And there is a flip side of this: Hollywood types LOVE to mock and make fun of people like me. How many movies feature conservatives as racist, sexist, homophobic hatemongers in 2 dimensions or fewer?
Woody Allen is NOT above us, no matter how much you seem to argue otherwise.
Why am I the first to ask what if the accused were a Catholic priest? Where would the Hollywood hero’s defenders be? You know well the answer from the media reactions and from previous FR threads.
Yes, he married his adopted daughter. He also signed a petition to free Roman Polanski, who drugged and raped a 13 year old girl.
You’re right. Technically, he never adopted her.
No one outside the family will ever know for certain if he did or did not do it.
I think he took and passed a lie detector test, but she refused to take one.
I love "Take the Money and Run." "Manhattan Murder Mystery" s pretty good. I think "Annie Hall" is overrated. I'm borderline on most of his other movies that I've seen.
There is no evidence that he did it.
So since it happened years ago, it’s no big deal?
You sound like an open borders nut. :)
I just read about Moses from another link. Mostly, he makes a reasonable case, but there are some questionable detailings. Wish I’d written them down, because I came here to check out what thoughtful people were saying. Oy. Maybe later.
