The individuals and groups of the NRA and SAF work their tails off for this one cause.

There's infighting over the NRA on this very site...........There's a number of their detractors here that consider the NRA a "take your money and run" sell-out organization.

More like “take your money and snow you under with mass mailings of every kind.” Most wish the NRA would just send their publications and membership bills and forego the bulk mail snowstorm.

I have had a love hate relationship with the NRA for a while, but in my maturity I have come around to their way of thinking.

The NRA has changed over the years, well.

The NRA would much rather pursue their goals with the legislative branch than the courts. This reluctance to go to court is often misunderstood by their allies as lukewarm support of the 2nd Amendment.

If you go to court and lose, you are stuck with case precedence that has to be overturned, a fairly difficult thing to do. Look at the latest court case in Connecticut.

If you go to the legislature and fail to get your bill passed, you regroup and reattack in the next session. Much easier prospect.

While access to modern weapons is constantly under attack, access to concealed carry has never been better. Most of that has been due to legislative action.

The NRA gives money to Democrats.

For me, it’s no more complicated than that.
