In more important news, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio dropped the ground hog on Groundhog Day, sentencing the NYC area to six more winter storms. Third one coming up this week is a nor’easter.
The last New York mayor who boycotted the parade was David Dinkins, and he was a one-termer. De Blasio needs to be careful who he offends. There are more Irish in New York City than gays.

NYC mayor Bill de Blasio has prominently featured his wife Chirlane McCray in his campaign literature and on his web site. Despite Ms. McCray’s front-and-center role in his campaign, for which she also serves as an unpaid advisor, one aspect of her life has thus far remained out of the public eye.
Prior to meeting Mr. de Blasio, Ms. McCray identified as a lesbian and had several long-term relationships with other women.
