Many consumers faced hurdles signing up for Covered California health plans. Now they're having trouble finding in-network doctors.
After overcoming website glitches and long waits to get Obamacare, some patients are now running into frustrating new roadblocks at the doctor's office.
A month into the most sweeping changes to healthcare in half a century, people are having trouble finding doctors at all, getting faulty information on which ones are covered and receiving little help from insurers swamped by new business.
Experts have warned for months that the logjam was inevitable. But the extent of the problems is taking by surprise many patients and even doctors as frustrations mount.
Aliso Viejo resident Danielle Nelson said Anthem Blue Cross promised half a dozen times that her oncologists would be covered under her new policy. She was diagnosed last year with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and discovered a suspicious lump near her jaw in early January.
But when she went to her oncologist's office, she promptly encountered a bright orange sign saying that Covered California plans are not accepted.

I envision a couple of guys named Louie and Vito showing up at the doctor's office.
"This is a real nice office youse got here. Be a shame if somethin' was to happen to it. You know, fancy equipment can be really delicate. It could break. Like bones do, you know what I'm sayin'?"
They were warned, but dismissed and mocked the warnings as racism...well...call 0bama you moron and see if he gives a tinker’s damn about you.
The comments over at the Times are brutal. Every lib comment is knocked down and ridiculed. This is the LA Times!
I believe that Obamacare is Obama’s Waterloo.
But we need to get it overturned immediately. Call your congressman and demand that they introduce another repeal bill every week until the Senate takes it up.
The kenyan knows about this happening and doesn’t care. That needs to be repeated every day. Too bad the GOP turned down the heat and are letting the POTUS off the hook. The Dems are fighting tooth and nail with a new lie every week.
All the while the GOP sleep walks to election day expecting dims bulbs like this lady to figure it out for themselves. That won’t be happening and the GOP is giving away a landslide election. The question is: why are they doing that?
I found this sentence interesting. After several neurosurgeons refused to have her as a patient (likely high risk case for a losing scheduled dollar value procedure), the gestapo stepped in to force a doctor to take her case.
Each story told rolls over right to the IRS for punishment.
This stupid bitch has cancer, can't see her doctor, and still won't blame the one.
It is good to cleanse the gene pool, Darwin is at work.
With her attitude, I can feel no empathy toward her and her pea brain.
I am surprised with HMOs, these people even got an appointment with the doctor, any doctor.
“I’m a complete fan of the Affordable Care Act, but now I can’t sleep at night,” Nelson said. “I can’t imagine this is how President Obama wanted it to happen.”

She obviously missed the part of the O’Really interview where Obama said Obamacare is working exactly as it should. She’s still lost in the fog of unicorn farts, it appears.
‘I am a complete fan of the Revolution. I can’t believe that Stalin would want it this way. What have I done to be sent to the Gulag?’ Feodore Illiach Golatkin Russia, USSR 1937.
“I’m a complete fan of the Affordable Care Act, but now I can’t sleep at night,” Nelson said. “I can’t imagine this is how President Obama wanted it to happen.” LA, CA, USSA 2014.
Did you have insurance before the ACA. Are you one of the ‘victories’ or just a lateral move from one plan to Obama Care?
If anyone’s surprised about this they’re clueless or a liberal... but I repeat myself...
2010 was a “massive” victory for the Republicans.
15% of national seats changed hands.
That means that 85% coasted to easy re-election.
2012 we as a nation had a chance to get rid of the Obamamites.
Most of them won re-election.
I’m not sure some (or even many) of those elections were not stolen.
Very strange goings-on that day. Reports of huge Republican turnout in critical states that went comfortably to Obama when the vote count came in that evening. Many other anomalies.
