The National Security Agency "probably" collects phone records of members of Congress and their staffs, a senior Justice Department official conceded Tuesday.

This means we're in a police state operating under cover of extortion.

Just accidentally found a Petraeus infidelity.

We really need to elect some squeaky clean nerds and send them to Congress.

No one is clean enough. No one at all. An actual indiscretion is not required. The recalcitrant Congressman can be charged with wearing the wrong color tie on his 14th birthday. The mighty indignation of the MSM and the Left will make the scandal to be whether he did it or not. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT THE CHARGE IS, only whether the target denies it or confirms it or says he doesn’t remember. All that will be seen and heard is that he was charged with something heinous- it must be bad because all the MSM is so upset about it- and any reaction at all is taken by the MSM as confirming the “charge.” If he says he doesn’t remember then witnesses will be trotted out to say they say him in the wrong color tie and before you know it the disgraced Congressman takes an early retirement.

The enemies list is collect across all Americans, so you don’t need to be an enemy now. They’ll catch you later, dude.

This is terrible. No politician worth his salt would be able to resist using this against opponents/threats.
