Members of a Des Moines family say they were terrorized in their own home by Ankeny police.
Sally Prince is afraid to stay in her own home. Ive been so traumatized. I dont sleep at night, Prince says.
On Thursday, Ankeny police executed a search warrant looking for someone they suspected of using stolen credit cards to buy clothes and electronics.
The whole search was caught on surveillance video.
Ankeny police tell us they knocked first, but the video shows one officer pounding on the side of the house and seconds later, officers use a battering ram to force their way in.
The video also shows an officer destroying a security camera outside the home.
Two people in the house were arrested on unrelated charges, and the family says none of the items listed on the warrant were found.
Princes son, Justin Ross, was in the bathroom when police burst in, and he was carrying a gun that he has the legal right to carry. I stood up, I drew my weapon, I started to get myself together to get out the door, I heard someone in the main room say police. I re-holstered my weapon sat back down and put my hands in my lap, Ross recalls.

well it was early 60s so it would be the higher-ups in state during kenedy’s admin. september 1961 . names i see attached to it are john mccloy and robert lovett.
“really makes the officer look bad - as if he destroyed the camera in order to cover up their bad behavior.”
That’s exactly why they did it. Note to self. Add more cameras to my security system and make sure they’re out of sight.
Maybe even better; one very visible system for show and the other hidden system for video.
That’s exactly right — home surveillance footage will pay for itself during the first court proceedings.
Funny how that works. Drug Warriors should be proud.
This is a facebook page set up about this.

no, Im not being sarcastic. The cops and the judge didn’t just roll the dice or throw a dart at the map. There is a history that not being covered with those people.
“Pigs” Really? at least open the door on the Volkswagen van when smoking refer dude
Thanks.
Those are two names I ran across as well.
At least they are both dead and can’t do any more harm.
Then what you have done is make up your own facts to suit justifying what the cops did. Your statemen amounts to, “If cops and a judge did this, they must be right.”
Nonsense. Not only can cops act on bad information, the also can easily act on limited information, while treating it as hard fact. Cops also can make mountains out of molehills.
Aside from the Dorner incident and the burned girl, how about the NM anal probe of a guy a cop felt was clenching his butt cheeks? Cops and a judge did that too. I can easily find examples of over eager LE activity and poor judgement.
I find you confidence in the wisdom, restraint, andjudgement of the cops and judge a little unjustified.
Of course he had his gun.
But he must have left his rife in the hall.
you see it as black and white, I see this incident as gray. My feeling is there is more to it. so we can agree to disagree.
What I find fascinating in all my time cruising various boards, libs and conservatives have 2 things in common. Both dislike the cops and both are grammer Nazi’s, very interesting common ground.
” Both dislike the cops and both are

You used a comma instead of a period. /Said with german accent.
Let me find my papers...
The camera is an impartial witness. We can’t have anything that makes Our Heroes Who Only Wish To Go Home To Their Families Safely look like orcish *thugs*!

As there are persistent taggants for marking persons, set up security such that intruders are identifiable. Specialty operatives on retainer, claims adjustors, can then sort them out in your absence.
