I was in SF transporting GI`s from SFO to Travis AFB under Federal contract with high security clearances..

What planet was DJ one on in 1965-68? Musta been Venus coz it appears DJ one weren`t even born then.

Yes, I was already born then.

I made several returns from Vietnam between 1965-1972 and twice I brought back souvenir weapons. These weapons had to be inspected by Military Intelligence to insure they had no intelligence value. Then they were registered as a War Trophy and an export license was granted.

As an AK-47 is a fully automatic weapon, they were never allowed to be brought home as a War Trophy. If you saw soldiers carrying souvenir weapons through San Francisco Airport, they were probably SKS carbines, or Type 53 carbines, but I can guarantee you that you didn’t see a soldier leaving Travis AFB with a fully automatic AK-47 in 1965-1968.
