Nobody will win, no minds will be changed.

In my opinion they aren’t even arguing about the same thing.

I’m a creationist, I believe God made us just like he said he did, I also believe the Bible is silent on what he was up to before our creation.

Evolutionists see a record of a time before our creation and try force it into a mold that excludes God.

I think all sides will be surprised when we stand before our Creator.

I tend to believe God wrote the laws of physics and designed the eternity of our universe (including us). Once the design was in place, pushed the button and creation started with a bang.

I believe Genesis explained creation with simple symbolism that catered to the knowledge and wisdom of his people at the time (10K to 12K years ago). The story came before there was written history and had to be passed down many generations before a medium was developed that would capture it in writing. I believe it is true and the word of God but interpreted factually incorrectly. For instance, I don’t know how long one of God’s days is. How does eternal existence measure “time” before our earth rotated on an axis once every 24 hours?

But I do respect every believers own faith and opinion on the matter.

I think that getting this discussion out there is healthy. There are plenty of people on the edge looking for reconciliation between the commonly accepted “scientific” perspectives vs the Biblical record.

However, even if an undeniable argument can be made for creation there are a huge number of people that will reject the Truth. Accepting the Truth means that they would be subservient to their Maker and they refuse to go down that path.

2 Timothy 4:3-5 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Yup, people believe what they WANT to believe and then force the evidence to fit their world view, but then they also add mockery, scoffing, arrogance, ridicule, rudeness, and insults to the mix and feel that makes them superior somehow.

Superior aholes perhaps....

Yeah, I'm a hypocrite =)

QUOYE: "Nobody will win, no minds will be changed."

I concur. Only hardcore believers on either side will watch it, and their minds are already made up.

QUOTE: "I also believe the Bible is silent on what he was up to before our creation."

for the first six days of time, He was creating time, the heavens, the earth, and all that in them is. We were the pinnacle of his creative work, and he rested after that.
