A MSNBC political panel was less than enthused by Bill OReillys tough interview with President Barack Obama on Sunday, claiming the questions were irrelevant and that OReilly himself lives on another planet.
The cable networks Craig Melvin spoke with Republican strategist Susan del Percio and MSNBC contributors Zerlina Maxwell and Josh Barro about the testy interview, which seemed at times to frustrate the president.
MELVIN: Susan, what did we learn that was new yesterday evening?
DEL PERCIO: Nothing! I actually think they had a no-news pact going on in that interview.
MELVIN: It seemed at times like a wasted opportunity!
DEL PERCIO: And the same for the president. The president couldve really stepped up his game too and he didnt, but it seemed like they both went through the motions and we heard the same old questions and the same old responses.
Maxwell was less even-handed.
Bill OReilly and the base of the Republican Party live on another planet, she said, and so, I think thats where the questions were formulated. Because you know, the IRS, Benghazi, these have been thoroughly debunked. And then beyond that, just this insistence that president Obama is an imperial president, sort of reinforcing that theme for the base.
I mean, its going to help the base and perhaps right-wing Republicans, she continued, but it wont help anyone get elected in a national election.(continued)

I’m still trying to figure out why people here always posts threads on what is said on MSNBC. They have no audience. Nobody cares what they say, nobody watches them. The only exposure they get is on FR.
We don't have national elections, They are all local. Also there is no such thing as a "federal election" (the electoral college might be construed as an an exception),these dopes don't get it.
That's not exactly the whole pic, Obama says he will take action wo congress and Republicans squeal, so Dems applause and laugh at GOP reaction.
Maybe they watch those old Roots reruns that show up on cable from time to time where the black man had to be clever and non-confrontational to keep from getting whipped and shot.
So they feed on the Dems theme that its all racism and voting now is like voting on that show.

A little known but verifiable medical fact: women who are on the pill are attracted to fluffy guys.
I this particular case it looks like ritual gloating over MSNBC complaining that BOR asked Obama questions he normally doesn't get.
Entertainment?
Rush was right. This interview was nothing but branding for FNC and going for Nielsen numbers. We all knew BHO would not divulge anything of substance. We all know BO’Re is an admirer of BHO and is scared of being labeled racist for going after BHO too hard. Good gosh, he telegraphed his questions all last week on “TOF”. Come on, you don’t say “He may be wrong, but his heart is in the right place.” BO’Re even acknowledged the good charitable work BHO did with BO’Re on the Wounded Warriors Project. No way BO’Re was going to go for the throat after that. BO’Re is not looking out for the people. He is a charlatan.
A numbers game....folks. Check O’Reilly’s viewer numbers for Monday evning & then check MSNBC viewer numbers for the same evening. Need I say more!!!!
After a full five years of Obamanation, it is time to stop using the following “surprise” words when describing Obama’s actions and inactions:
* Beyond Belief
* Unbelievable
* Surprising
* Incredible
* Astounding
* Shocking.
We know that Obama does the opposite of what he says.
We know that Obama always states a lie at the start of each paragraph of a speech.
We know that thanks to RINOs Boehner and McConnell, Obama has been very successful in “Fundamentally transforming the United States of America” into a Neo-Communist Nation.
To continue to be “surprised” at what Commie Obama does and doesn’t do is to prove to ourselves that we are gullible, low information voters that haven’t learned a damn thing about the evils of the very predictable Communist Obamanation that has been killing our Republic for the last 5 Years.
I will Oreilly credit for asking some tough questions. But when Pres shuck and jive tap danced O’reilly did not press him on it.
My impression was that O”Reilly was gobsmacked with Obama; the love light in his eyes was sickening. And that “cute” little end statement by O’reilly had me feeling he would have full Frenched kissed Obama on the mouth if he could get away with it. “I’m sure you heart is in the right place!”.
O’Reilly: The welfare state has grown substaintially since you were elected
Obama: No no no no. Next question?
O’Reilly actaull said that about socialism? Welcome to the party (5 years late) Bill...
“OReilly actaull said that about socialism? Welcome to the party (5 years late) Bill...”
O’Reilly in 2011 interview of MR
Is he a socialist? asks FOX Newss blunt television host Bill OReilly.
I prefer to use the term that hes just over his head, the former governor of Massachusetts responds with what he must have thought was a safe answer.
Yeah, but you gotta look at his economic plan, and that economic plan was top down, federal leadership getting us out of the recession we spent trillions of dollarsand people say, Listen, the guys a socialist! Its class warfare; thats what hes going to wage against you if you get the nomination, OReilly says, gesturing towards Romney.
Youre a rich guy, youre out of touch, the host adds.
Concluding his prediction that Romney should prepare for class warfare should he earn the GOP nomination, Bill OReilly repeats the question.
Is he a socialist?
You know, I consider him a big government liberal democrat. I think as you look at his policies, you conclude that he thinks Europe got it right and we got it wrong, Romney answered, again avoiding the question.
I think Europe got it wrong. I think Europe is not working in Europe and Ill battle him on that day in and day out, Romney added.
