That is correct, although not all the time in the winter, just when there is an inversion. Prior to central heating the air would be unbreathable at times and places in the winter.
heh. In denver I can’t recall too many people using their fireplaces in the summer. Almost always a winter time thing.

Hey, I’ve only used my woodstove twice this winter, once during that really cold spell in January, and once during an ice storm, in case the power went out. If there is an inversion, and the power goes out, and it’s cold, you will just have to deal with it.
Well, then those people need to scatter out some.
