I live in a Pennsylvania border town and we buy liquor in New Jersey because it’s cheaper. Undercover Pa. cops wait in the parking lot and then tail Pa. drivers until they cross the line and then arrest them.
I wish NJ law-enforcement would arrest every Pa. undercover cop and charge them with restraint of commerce.
Look, always drive at least 25 miles into NJ and then buy. Use your trunk or a tarp for an SUV. Take your receipt an mail it back to yourself in NJ if you want it. Pay cash if you can. Watch the bridges. Use EasyPass and don’t speed. Remember they confiscate and the fine is twice the value plus court costs. Never been caught!
That is because PA liquor stores are owned by the government. Government hates competition. Another example of too much government.
I'm in NJ and we have same problem buying fireworks in PA.
