TILDEN TWP., Pa. - A New Jersey State Police trooper asked an officer not to arrest him on shoplifting charges by mentioning he worked on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's security detail, police said.
An attorney for William Carvounis confirmed the trooper has worked on Christie's security detail but denied he asked for special treatment. He also denied that Carvounis shoplifted items from the outdoor retailer Cabela's in Tilden Twp., Berks Co., near Hamburg, on Jan. 8.

I still take the free bridge as often as possible when I am back east visiting family. I remember you could buy rolls of bridge tokens for the Rt. 22 bridge. They were the equivalent of a dime... discounted when buying the roll. I remember when it went from 1 token to 2... and remember the coin baskets for tossing change on the fly... now it’s a dollar... and everyone has en pass.
EZ pass... love the latest android update.
The free bridge, glad they still call it that. A lot of good memories from those times 30 years ago.
