I think Cornyn was probably pretty decent when he was sent to Washington, and I think it is the influence of that vile place that has transformed him from someone representing the interests of the People of Texas to someone who tries to serve other masters as well.
Our system of Federalism is breaking down, and I can put my finger on numerous past mistakes that are contributing to our Governmental devolution. What has happened to Cornyn is mostly a byproduct of the consequences of these earlier mistakes.
I see the same sort of degradation occurring with the Senators/Representatives of others states as well, and I count it as the result of that baleful influence emanating from the seat of National power.
We fight multiple opponents in Washington DC. We fight the Federal Bureaucracy, We fight the Democrat Political establishment (Which overlaps heavily with the Federal Bureaucracy.) and we now also fight the Crony Republicans.
Which is the greater threat? At this point, i'm not sure it isn't the Crony Republicans, for they work from within our ranks to undermine our goals. (Amnesty) At least the other opponents stand outside our lines.
If Cornyn wins the primary, but cannot be made to see his interests do not lie with the Crony Republicans, then i'm not certain that chopping of his political head and giving the seat to a Democrat might not be more in our interests in the long run. Such a message would certainly get through to the RINO establishment.
