While the restaurant carry portion of the bill was the most talked about change there are roughly 10 other changes to the law. Some of the changes like the ability to submit the initial permit application online, and notice 30 days before permit expiration amounts to some work for S.L.E.D. Also the actual permit exam must be changed as it contains questions that will no longer be relevant once the bill (SB308) becomes law.

As a CWP instructor I've been keeping an eye on all of this as I teach a class every week.

My guess, and it's just a guess is that Governor Haley is waiting until S.L.E.D. is ready before signing the bill into law.
