that was a good read, and I mostly agree with the author. One quibble: "None of that happened, thanks to one nameless TIE fighter pilot with a habit of yanking randomly on his control stick at the sound of loud noises."

Uh, in space there is no one to hear you scream. There was no loud noise for him to hear.  Perhaps he was easily distracted by bright lights behind him?
