As far as electability, that is in every way a non issue.
Because Cornyn is more damaging in the Senate than a Democrat could be so if he hangs on to the nomination many people will vote for a write in or third party candidate.
That is why I said it would apply “after” the Primary. Assuming Cornyn is defeated in the primary.
