All the kings horses and all the kings men will never put Chris Christie together again if New Jerseys governor fails to refute the accusation that he knew of the George Washington Bridge lane closures as they were taking place.
In that event, Christies governorship is over and he should prepare to face a federal criminal probe as a private citizen. Resignation would be a must. Otherwise, impeachment would be a snap.
Christie stands on the brink of ruin thanks to David Wildstein, the high school pal who, as his Port Authority enforcer, ordered the closures that plunged Fort Lee into four days of gridlock.
Wildsteins lawyer on Friday released a letter that paints Christie as one of the most bold-faced liars in modern political history. And Christies response, amounting to one great big dodge, did nothing to dispel the notion.

Christie would be insane to be put under oath: as soon as he swears he knew nothing, the some Democrat prosecutor would bribe or threaten someone into swearing he knew.

What, he won’t lie under oath? Nonsense - everyone lies under oath. We need a perfect lie detector to be invented, and have all prospective politicians subjected to it when they file for election (reference the “veridicator” in H. Beam Piper’s “Little Fuzzy”)
