That’s a fact. Britain just reached the 10% mark in energy generated by wind. Scotland, I believe, generates 40% of its energy from wind, with the bulk of it from offshore wind turbines. In addition, the gas storage tanks haven’t been topped off yet, leaving Britons with about a six day supply. Many Britons, I fear, will be shivering in the dark. Britain’s reliance on renewables is about to be exposed as foolhardy and stupid.
This could be epic in Scotland it sounds like. Independent Scotland is going to need a lot of external help to cope probably
Sorry, those figures are way out. 10% is the total for all ‘renewables’, not just wind. And as for 40% in Scotland - that’s the pie-in-the-sky total renewables target by 2020 announced by the SNP for an independent Scotland. Nowhere near that at present.
