Radio and TV personality Glenn Beck says he has buried the hatchet with fellow conservative talk radio powerhouses Sean Hannity and Mark Levin and that they are coming together to activate their Wonder Twin powers.
Beck spoke about his relationship with the two rival radio show hosts on his show Thursday, saying that they have discovered they were being fed lies about each other to diminish their power.
There is a stupid feud, and the three of us, Sean and Mark and I, have talked about it and we know where it came from and we know who was feeding us lies about each other, Beck said Thursday. And this individual just expected that we would, that if they fed us enough lies about each other, we would never talk to each other, and that way he would be able to divide us and keep the tea party movement at bay and control it as much as he could or destroy it. And we were foolish, and all of us have said to each other Man, how stupid were we? How did we not see that one?
Beck did not name the person he accused of spreading lies. Beck said after continuous messages from his audience that he should be on the same side as Levin and Hannity rather than in competition with them, the three connected and realized they should work together.
If talk radio begins to move together and we all understand everybody plays a different role and each of us have an important piece, Beck said, reading a note he wrote to Levin saying Levins role was to affect politics while his role was to affect culture. He said Hannity was an ideas man.
As they work with each other, Beck warned their detractors to look out.
Together I mean, I hate to go to a Saturday morning cartoon but Wonder Twin powers activate. And when we do, look out. Look out, progressives, and look out, the GOP, Beck said.
Beck also said the three all need the king of the universe Rush Limbaugh and asked his audience to pray that Limbaugh decides he should engage the three of them, as well.
Savage Savage Savage. Uncle Mike is dee best, albeit a little nutty he is still the most entertaining radio host to listen to, period end of story.
Lately i also find myself listening to Andy Dean, i like his style, conservative views interesting interviews on the day’s topics.
So my schedule here in NYC is WABC 12-3 Curtis & Kuby, (local!) 3-5 Dr. Savage, at 6 i go down the dial to WOR for Andy Dean.
Hannity bores me, however well meaning he is. After Savage knocked Ted Cruz last night, I’m finished with him til further notice.
I know. He conveniently ignored the likelihood that movie shooter Holmes went out if his way to find a “gun free” movie theatre!
Most of them do that, but to people on the left, people in the news, and so forth. Medved calls Ron Paul “the mad doctor” for example. Savage is the only one who does it with other conservative talk show hosts.
And what do the GOP think that number will be this next election? maybe 6 million won't bother to vote for whatever RINO the pushers are pushing this time? This is all the proof I need that the GOP RINOs are totally in cahoots with the RATs.
Cherchez la femme. Ann Coulter or Debbie Schlussel.
Hannity being an ideas man is a bit scary, too.
Somewhere on the Free Republic threads is a long post about what all is wrong with Savage. Unfortunately I don’t remember the poster ‘s name but I think it was just after the revelations about his political contributions. But if you can find it, I recommend reading it, though there were a few things I could add.
I swore off Savage once before, and went back. This time Ive sworn off be a use of his remarks about Ted Cruz last night.
Medved was roommates with Lanny Davis in college, so that’s why he’s on his show a lot, maybe why he’s on other Salem shows too
That being said, I really miss Salem. Their poor little signal is just too weak to reach Everett.
I haven’t listened to Savage in quite a while. When I first found him I really liked him but then........ he went into one of his black moods. It was like spending time with my mother in law. Bi polar I am guessing, both of them.
What did he say about Ted Cruz?
Levin did give a little mention of Rushs and Sarah Palin’s books before Christmas. But you’re right, Hannity has been conspicuous in his absence.
That also I occurred to me.
What I had heard once was that Levin got mad because Beck had used some material from one of his books without crediting him. Don’t ask me to document that—it’s just something I heard.
But I’m sure that others may have added fuel to the fire with their innuendos, etc.
I have long suspected that Levin is hard to get along with in person, unlike Rush and Hannity. A local host let a lefthanded compliment slip.
O’Reilly and Beck used to see a lot of each other, so the feeding was probably on that end.
Dick (this-gun-for-hire) Morris. Also, like Rove, a source of drastically wrong election predictions.
That’s one theory. I can think of darker, more Byzantine ones.
Google Savage and Ginsberg, as in the late poet.
Dean is all right, though I found him a bit smart-alecky and preoccupied with pop culture gossip.
Called him a snake, among other things. Compared him to Marco Rubio, who is also on his excrement list now. Said “I tried to warn people about Cruz, blah-blah.” It’s all over immigration.
Yep, it seems completely O’Reilly’s style but I keep coming back to a couple of lines....
**”we know who was feeding us lies about each other”
**”that way he would be able to divide us and keep the tea party movement at bay and control it as much as he could or destroy it. And we were foolish, and all of us have said to each other”
That would Rove? Hannity and certainly Levin had little to do with O’Reilly. Rove was on Hannity’s show a lot, Rove was on Beck’s FOX show a few times—I don’t know if he was ever on Levin’s show. Rove would want to control or destroy the TEA Party, more so than O’Reilly.
O’Reilly has that personality and immediately came to mind for me but that other stuff makes it seem Rove. It would be nice if they could take Rove down, he’s a problem.
He was referring to the 72 YO ex-cop that shot a guy for using his phone during the previews.
