Radio and TV personality Glenn Beck says he has buried the hatchet with fellow conservative talk radio powerhouses Sean Hannity and Mark Levin and that they are coming together to activate their Wonder Twin powers.
Beck spoke about his relationship with the two rival radio show hosts on his show Thursday, saying that they have discovered they were being fed lies about each other to diminish their power.
There is a stupid feud, and the three of us, Sean and Mark and I, have talked about it and we know where it came from and we know who was feeding us lies about each other, Beck said Thursday. And this individual just expected that we would, that if they fed us enough lies about each other, we would never talk to each other, and that way he would be able to divide us and keep the tea party movement at bay and control it as much as he could or destroy it. And we were foolish, and all of us have said to each other Man, how stupid were we? How did we not see that one?
Beck did not name the person he accused of spreading lies. Beck said after continuous messages from his audience that he should be on the same side as Levin and Hannity rather than in competition with them, the three connected and realized they should work together.
If talk radio begins to move together and we all understand everybody plays a different role and each of us have an important piece, Beck said, reading a note he wrote to Levin saying Levins role was to affect politics while his role was to affect culture. He said Hannity was an ideas man.
As they work with each other, Beck warned their detractors to look out.
Together I mean, I hate to go to a Saturday morning cartoon but Wonder Twin powers activate. And when we do, look out. Look out, progressives, and look out, the GOP, Beck said.
Beck also said the three all need the king of the universe Rush Limbaugh and asked his audience to pray that Limbaugh decides he should engage the three of them, as well.
Between Hannity and Savage, now in the same time slot (here in NE Florida at least) there is not much to choose.
I was flipping back and forth yesterday between the two. And you are right, not much to choose from.
Hannity has been real bad lately. I hate his new format. He barely talked at all about immigration yesterday. Instead it was a lot of fluff: NFL, MSNBC, etc. He is clearly taking his marching orders from above.
Rush and Hannity are syndicated by Clear Channel, who bought WOR 710 and decided to put them there (got the Mets, too). WABC 770 is owned by Cumulus who syndicates Levin and Savage.
Hey you lay off my man Hannity. He used to fix his own bikes and he painted houses and he worked construction and he fell off of a house once. :)
this had been going on for years.
I listen to Michael Berry a lot. He is here in Houston but you can get him in other areas as well. He is funny, smart and conservative!
Savage doesn’t need these clowns.
He is better on his own.
What Savages needs sometimes is a padded room. I tried to listen to him but I always end up almost as depressed as he is. I finally quit trying.
right because a perp like the batman perp in Color-Red-o would see the sign with the line through the gun and sigh, shrug his shoulders and walk away sad and unfulfilled.
Does not that silly savage realize that a citizen with a gun might have stopped him earlier rather than later during the tragedy??
I’ll listen to Rush if/when I am by a radio (moreso when I have an office working situation).
I catch more of the Salem Radio Network hosts early in the day and later on (Bill Bennett and Hugh Hewitt).
I used to listen to Savage but his nuttiness got to be hard to take. So much played up radio drama rather than genuine openness with his audience. Did he ever discuss his contemporary Democrat donations? I do know that he sucked up to Chuck Schuemer on air.
Hannity is a glib radio guy that offers me little meat and I don’t care for the sparring with liberal shills. I had the same problem recently with someone on a Salem program (Hewitt maybe, had Lanny Davis on and the man just cannot be up front about ANYTHING, he was talking about how wonderful Hillary’s record was, blah blah blah, said how great it was we took out Gaddafi (things are NOT better there and it was a war crime to boot, torture, abuse, and murder of a POW)). I’ve heard some of these hosts push back harder on callers than they do on liberal guests in the studio.
I gave up Hannity way back, his voice is annoying and his points are pretty dull and routine.
One exception is when he does the fake Town hall focus groups with the FNC babes and gets them complaining about Obamacare, that's entertaining.
I was so glad FNC gave Kelly his 9pm time slot, first time I watch FNC primetime in many years.
savage is not a conservative nor does his show belong being publicized here at FR. and the best I can figure, neither do you...
I found that out recently here, it was a mystery to me before that.
I havent heard Levin praise the other two recently, Levin used to really pour it on Rush, and Hannity would praise Levin on their shows.
listen to Michael Berry a lot
BTTT
As far as I know, Rush and Laura Ingraham still plug FR on the radio (but I don’t catch either much these days to know).
I agree it’s O’Reilly.
He CAN’T stand not being #1.
Beck was a rising star at Fox then O’Reilly starts putting him on the show, then BAM-nothing.
Nobody wants to mention the name because he is just too powerful at Fox.
Beck,Hannity,Levin and Rush,,,
interesting.
Squeeze in a little Weiner,,,?
my question was did he back Romney during the primary season.
if he backed him afterward that is understandable...to a certain extent, Rush, Hannity and Savage backed him in the General too.
I'm not aware of any feud, I think Beck's making this up......
Savage winds people up and has them running in circles. He’s not what conservatives need.
Yea, and jealous too
