Respectfully: Driving in 20” of snow is *far* different than driving on 1” of ice. ;D
If this POS is so concerned about the people of Atlanta, why does she live in Cobb County and not in the city where she allegedly “works”.
That's because you're in GA :-) I agree about horrible drivers everywhere.
back in the '82 ice storm I saw one woman come to a stop at the bottom of an icy hill and then slowly start up it. Well naturally she didn't get very far. She tried this several times meanwhile the number of people she was holding up was growing by the minute. Some guys got out of their cars and told her to get a moving start. She ignored them. Well they helped her by pushing her car at the point she was getting stuck. They pushed her car sideways into the ditch at the side of the road and then drove by. Funniest thing I saw the whole time.
What is the population out there?
Yes, That is why people like us had stud tires then. I also drove from Omaha to what we in SF call Faggotville, NC in late Dec - 1 Jan 70 with studs on the rear of my 70 Vette roadster. I stopped by to see my old CO, Jerry Kilburn, at Bragg. They had just come back from Son Tay.
Now, those studs were not supposed to be driven on non icey roads/snow over 55 MPH then. I do not know if they are legal out west now?
Black ice=racism.
I see.
The first white Republican up the food chain will be blamed for this 100%. That would be Gov. Nathan Deal.
All Democrats and/or blacks will get a pass.

Ever go to ice races on a frozen lake?....very popular in NH lakes. Many DIY studded tires. LOL...they are amazing. :)
FWIW: Smart USA 2-man Oly bobsled team had BMW redesign the US sleds....78 years of disappointment may be broken. Will be fun to watch.
It’s nice to have a HP car under you when you are driving on ice.
WOW.
growing up in a cold climate i have NEVER seen so little snow cause SO much travel problems...
Not so much the snow but the ice.
I've noticed this phenomenon. About half of SUV driver exhibit NO caution when driving in absolutely horrendous conditions.
It was with some satisfaction that I saw a driver and his SUV on the center median of the Adirondack Northway who had minutes before blasted past me at 70 while I and everyone else crept along at 35 during snowstorm that was rapidly changing over to ice.
During the winters when we were stationed up in North Dakota we would drive the 15 miles to town after a snow storm and a majority of the vehicles stuck in the median and on the side were four wheel drives.
It seems that too many of the drivers think that they are under differing laws of physics when in a four wheel drive.
Newsflash for the rest of the country. There is not a white face to be found in the Atlanta City govt. or the Fulton county govt. Get real!!!!

But it’s still all whitey’s fault. NBC is blaming the white governor. And remember when the libs blamed racist, GOP whites for all of Detroits problems?
Some of these SUVs completely isolate the driver from the driving. I remember a pilot complaining about “fly by wire” technology. In the past, he could learn a lot about outside conditions by just putting his hand on the tiller. With fly by wire, nothing. I think today’s SUVs are like that.
You can bet the Mayor will get a pass, and all the blame will be on Georgia’s White, Republican Governor.
I was stuck in the snow and ice on I-75. 23 hours to get from Tampa to Atlanta. 22 inches of snow fell on Macon.
