BOR is expressing his feelings instead of his knowledge of economics.
These “pro-minimum wage” pundits, probably have never had a business, never met a payroll and has a “tax-man” to figure their taxes.
When minimum wages are increased so everything else is increased too. The plastic to wrap ? in, the jar that ? is put in, the wages of the non-minimum wage earners, the gas to deliver ?, the tires for the truck, the produce to make ? which will be used to make ?. The list goes on. When we were in business, the minimum wage was increased. The plastic for our product went up 1.3%, we raised the wages of our non-minimum wage earners, gas prices went up, bread prices went up, as did mayonnaise, eggs, coffee was the same price, but the amount of coffee in a can was reduced, toilet paper inner rolls were made more flimsy, and the list goes on. Prices are adjusted according to the new minimum wages....so the minimum wage people have the same problems they did before the new minimum wage was put into law.
