CAMBRIDGE, Maryland--House Republicans responding to President Obama's State of the Union vow to move forward on a year of action with or without Congress say they agree and want to partner with him.
We heard the president say this should be a year of action and that is our goal. We join the president in this effort to make this a year of action, GOP Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers told reporters here.
The top four House Republicans also sent Obama a letter this morning outlining areas of agreement where the two can collaborate.
The letter notes, Of course, under our Constitution, most action requires the Congress and the President to work together.
The letter does not include any language on immigration, though a press conference was consumed with questions from reporters on the topic. Speaker John Boehner continued his silence on forthcoming immigration principles, saying he needs to discuss the issue with the Republican conference.
Soros must be back in town.
Let’s all be islamists. Just for a year, or couse.

Have Republicans lost their minds?!!!! — if they ever had any!
What are they trying to do, save Obama from the midterm bloodbath his party would get, if the GOP would run against him not “partner with him”. You might as well partner with a viper, they are more trustworthy.
The uniparty at work.
Well, you could start with Articles of Impeachment, and go FRom there!
Wonder if that would be a good start for the “year of action?”
Wow. All these years thinking we should have nuked Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc., when in reality it’s DC that needs to be wiped clean.
This is what people do when they know they’re whipped. So, they jump in front of Obama and yell “Follow us!”
The GOPe.
No message, no strategy, no kidding.
Republicans believe in CRONY Capitalism. Pay to Play.
Thanks gooblah.

They did. Mitt Romney.
It has been a week and more since I looked at the news.
So the GOP has decided to die then.
Yes, they would, and that's the whole problem with the Fantasy Football approach to the 2016 primaries so many here are bought in to.
Suppose it comes down to Cruz or [insert your fave here] and Christie [or Jeb]. Further suppose that, with endless effort and superb coordination, we win in June 2016 at a divided convention.
Does anyone here doubt, doubt FOR A SECOND, that the next day Christie (or Jeb) would endorse Hillary? Does anyone doubt FOR A SECOND that if Hillary looked weak in the polls that she would choose Christie (or Jeb) as VP on a "national unity" ticket to turn back the racist, homophobic Faux News candidacy of Cruz [or Palin, or Mike Lee]?
That's why we need a split. Because even if we win the GOPe game, playing by the GOPe rules, we lose.
Those so called Republicans are hell bent on losing, and lose they will if they continue cooperating with the Dems.
Start by getting rid of the current House leadership.
Deal with the devil.
GOP = DNC = the EXEMPT
How about he discusses the issue with the people who put him and the Republican conference in office?
I pictured it more as a 3-legged race where once tied to Obama the GOP would simply go limp. They’re pretty good at going limp for Democrats. ;-]
