That is what it used to look like when we walked to grade school in Chicago in the winter, nothing but a cold sweet potato in our pocket for lunch, up hill both ways.

I had to climb switchbacks. Barefoot.

Considering that the snow was 3ft. deep and I was only
3ft tall and I had to walk with my little sister, it
was a nightmare.
Some days we only got the potato skin.

Y'all had pockets?!?! My mom would cut out the pockets of the one pair of jeans that I got for Christmas and my birthday, so I would have something to wear AND something to play with.
