The MSN propaganda machine works quite well.
I just ran across a little blurb about Chuck Todd...MSNBC's top correspondent...complaining about the Duck Dynasty CEO Willie being brought to the SOTU liefest.
NBC: GOP Inviting 'Duck Dynasty' Star to SOTU Not 'Dignified'; 'Trying to Make A Partisan Political Point'
By Kyle Drennen | January 29, 2014 | 12:55 During NBC's live State of the Union coverage Tuesday night, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd sneered at Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson being a Republican guest at the event: "...after the shooting with Gabby Giffords and for a couple of State of the Unions in a row....There was more of a dignified feeling about the guests that you would invite. Boy, you can tell things are a lot different now, when you're inviting Duck Dynasty stars. Everybody's trying to make a partisan political point." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]
Todd concluded: "You get the feeling that whatever Kumbaya that there had been, at least in the last couple of years, that's that's gone with this State of the Union." |
Nice the way he ties Willie in with the Giffords shooting.
Which when she was brought as a prop to a previous SOTU I it doesn't seem that Todd minded THAT highly "partisan political point."
[What the heck is anything that Obama OR Todd do that is NOT a partisan political point??]
And using a leftist being shot by one of her leftist supporters...and of course right after it happened the media blamed Sarah Palin!

Thanks for posting onyx. Finally listened to it. An excellent speech, made excellent points, especially the ones on "inequality" and the Boston Tea Party comparison. Am passing it on to everyone I know.
From Mike Lee's speech:
"In 1773, Americans had simply had it with a London-based national government that had become too big, too expensive and far too intrusive."
"It took them 14 long years to get from Boston to Philadelphia, where they created, with our Constitution, the kind of government they did want."
"Now, as in 1773, Americans have had it with our out-of-touch national government. But if all we do is protest, our Boston Tea Party moment will occupy little more than a footnote in our history."
"Hopefully our leaders, reformers and citizens will join the journey from Boston to Philadelphia from protest to progress. Together we can march forward and take the road that leads to the kind of government we do want."
Well said Senator Lee.

You're welcome onyx!
Mike Lee is so smart. He's got it.
Read on Beck today: "Glenn was so impressed with Sen. Lees remarks he heralded the speech as the most important given by a politician recently." From Here.

“He was what was determined to soften and lessen our stance Internationally.... ..”
That’s right.
I just heard somewhere that Obama’s half brother was wearing a garment of one of the terrorist groups - I think it was Hezbollah (spelling?)
Who the heck have the majority of American voters put in the White House?

Update:
Senator Mike Lee was inspiring last night!
He spoke to the average American, delivered the Tea Party's vision for America
Tea Party Express, the nation's largest tea party political action committee, hosted the Tea Party response to President Obama's State of the Union speech last night, delivered by Senator Mike Lee. The speech articulated the defining tenets of the Tea Party movement: reduce the size of government so every citizen can pursue the American Dream.
If you missed the Tea Party response to the State of the Union or would like to watch it again, we have uploaded it to our website for your viewing.
Everyone needs to hear this inspiring message!
Thank you to all our loyal supporters who made this event possible!
Senator Mike Lee gave an amazing speech last night and clearly articulated the Tea Party's vision for America.
He painted a picture of an America that empowers the people, not ignores them. Lee's unifying and uplifting response stood in stark contrast to President Obama's address, which hinted at circumventing the people's representatives in Congress.
Senator Mike Lee put forward a real vision for America and real solutions that will lift Americans up instead of holding them down. The tired, stale ideas of Barack Obama have resulted in big government, high deficits and the weakest recovery from a recession in modern history.
Washington's bi-partisan spending binges and backroom deals have led us to a point of crippling debt and anemic economic growth. It's time for America to right this ship by creating an economically sound pathway forward.
Last night will be remembered as the night in which America's conservative majority united to reject the dangerous big-government agenda of President Barack Obama with two very compelling speeches.
Senator Lee articulated ideas to get the American economy growing again. We cannot tolerate the weakest post-recession growth in American history which has resulted in few jobs for graduating high school and college students and no savings for middle class families to provide a brighter future for their children. Ending high taxes, unsustainable debt and oppressive over-regulation will provide more opportunities for Americans to realize the American dream. We need responsible cuts and strong pro-growth policies.
If the President instead continues down a polarizing big-government path, the electorate will mimic the 2010 sentiment in this year's elections.
We promise you that we will continue to fight to give the Tea Party a strong voice in Washington, D.C.
