A new Rasmussen poll reveals that 62% of those polled feel tonight’s State of the Union (SOTU) address from Barack Obama is “mostly just for show.” Obama’s trustworthiness among the American public is slipping; last year 53% of those polled felt the address was “just for show.”

I’ve been avoiding the State of the Union address for the last few years (not wanting to hurl) but this year I’m taping it. The father of Charles Woods is an invited guest (on the GOP side) and I’m kind of hoping for a “YOU LIE!” moment.
I think it’s hilarious to watch all the liberals push and shove to get near his walkin...Just to gush and fawn all over at Obama...They look so ridiculous when they grovel for his attention...He probably is thinking, “Look at these fools!!!!”
Well, that and that 444 days of captivity of our embassy people.
That was back in the day when even the dems, less the republicans, rigger red to our embassy people as embassy people, now I can’t even get my dear conservatives to do so

From my observations, I see that about 40% of the American public think they would be happy with a Marxist society.
This is becoming exacerbated by the leftist media and rapid growth of blacks and poor immigrants as a percentage of the population.
American media and public education are doing their best to convert the country into being the USSA. They represent the largest dangers to the country that I grew up in.
I was listening to Michael Medved show a couple of days ago and he was soliciting calls to see what his callers wanted Obama to say in the SOTU address...
He had a caller that wanted Obama to erase everybodies bad credit rating and give them a automatic credit rating of 700...
It was sort of depressing that a seemingly normal person articulate that position, could be that ignorant to think Obama could do such a thing in the first place and that it was a good idea...
Someone like that would easily embrace Marxism...

Absolutely correct. There are so many lazy, self-entitled, dishonest, overfed and underworked people, with their hands out, unable and/or unwilling to take responsibility for themselves, their lives and their families. They NEED Uncle Sugar, and Uncle Sugar gives it to them, in exchange for their vote.
This trend is also exacerbated by the abysmal state of civics education, in addition to the media, as you stated.
And this situation is not going to improve until there is a near total societal collapse and WWIII.
How many times do we need to hear him talk about his laser focus on jobs? Or if you like your health plan/doctor you can keep them (oops)? Not that I actually listen to him. I cannot stand the sound of his lispy voice and the way he tries to mesmerize the audience. It’s hard enough to stomach transcripts of his speeches.
the 38% doesn’t know what a state is. Or a union.
