The House GOPs new immigration framework will include support for a path to legal status for immigrants living in the country illegally, according to The New York Times.
The one-page outline specifically opposes a special pathway to citizenship, according to the report.
The GOPs statement of principles on immigration reform will, however, endorse a pathway to citizenship for children who were brought to the country illegally, according to the report. The outline quotes a passage from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), who has previously endorsed the proposal.

These “children” could be 35 years old. And granting them citizenship allows them to sponsor their parents and other relatives to be legalized.
The pathway starts in their home country. Any legislation that allows the lawbreakers to stay and work here is amnesty. In the meantime, there are over 4 million intending immigrants waiting in line overseas to come to the US. They have completed all the paperwork, background checks, physicals, etc. So we reward the lawbreakers by putting them at the head of the line.
They should write a similar bill authorizing the families of criminals to keep the spoils of the criminal enterprise. Why punish the children for the crimes of the parent?
The founders would have sent them back to their grandparents or adopted them out.
