Darion Aguilar, neatly clad in jeans and a dress shirt, strolled into a Rockville gun store Dec. 10 with a wad of cash and lots of questions. He wanted a weapon for home defense, he told the owners, who remember him as upbeat and courteous. He didnt know much about firearms and asked for their help in picking one out.
His whole demeanor was, he smiled, he was polite, he wasnt aggressive, said Cory Brown, a proprietor of United Gun Shop. Aguilar, then 18, told Brown and co-owner Dan Millen that he had been researching Mossberg shotguns. Could they show him a Mossberg?

So they got out a basic 500 model an entry-level gun, Brown said a pump-action 12-gauge that is easy for a novice to fire accurately in close quarters.

Maryland requires a special gun lock with each new firearm, and at least for pistols the locks included by manufacturers don't qualify. It's just an extra tax on firearms, and I'd guess less than 5% of those locks are actually used. The purpose of a self/home-defense firearm is not to store it in a manner than prevents its use.
“Hi, my name is Darion. My friend Joe Biden advised me to get a shotgun for home protection. Do you have something I could afford that I can blast into the air to scare people away?”
Indeed. I use the term "presstitutes" whenever I refer to them.
He seemed like such a nice person . . .
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
If Obama had a son he would look just like this psycho.
“Yeah - he is Hispanic and definitely black. The girl and her boyfriend were white and thats why there is no mention of them or pictures.
The girl was stupid to go out with him and then when she left his crazy ass behind that was too much for him. When a white girl goes out with a non white guy the chances something bad and violent happen to her or her close friends and family go up dramatically I hate to say.”

There has been NO report or indication that the dead girl went out with the killer or even knew him. These may well be a black on “stranger” whites killings. The only key may be the killer’s diary. Remember, the killer’s mother stopped the police from reading that diary.
Subsequently, the police returned and “seized” it under court order but have not released details on its contents. They may never release those details (no doubt claiming the killer’s privacy rights) if they want to “keep it under wraps” because it contains racist hatred and intent.
I am shocked there is a gun shop in Montgomery Co., much less Randolph Rd in Rockville specifically!
We had to take a course when we bought our pistols years ago, no application for CCW. We bought them in a rush before some other dumb MD law came into being. I think it was the ammo fingerprinting. But we had to take the basic course.
Well, it’s not hatred for blacks, because they never fail to put that out in public.
From what little I heard of the mom, this dude may be half white. Just like Uhbama.
Does the state decree where the shop has to buy it's stock locks for sale? Could they purchase them from owners who choose not to use them?
Oh no, not another of The Won’s kids. That guy should stop having kids, they’re all just a bunch of trouble.
No, but one story mentioned that one bystander was shot in the foot with a bullet.
Not here in the Peoples' Republik of Kalifornia.
I found a large plastic bag full of gun locks on a lake shore right near one of those all-too-common boating accidents.
A guy I know took one of the locks to the dealer when he picked up his firearm. He was informed that the state required that he purchase a new lock. Virtually all new firearms sold in the state have a lock included by the manufacturer. Just one more infringement which raises the cost of owning a firearm.
But that’s a manufacturer problem. I’m not saying the PURCHASER could buy his lock somewhere else, I’m saying the FFL could purchase them from gun owners and then sell them as legally required the next time someone bought a gun (though this would require the mfgrs to stop including them, but that’s just an issue between the manufacturers and their FFL customers).
They could, but I don't know anyone who does. Other than slow learners, anyone with more than one handgun will bring the approved lock when picking up their next one. Also, no one sensible wants to antagonize the thugs who enforce our gun laws. I keep a state approved lock handy (close to where I keep my personal defense weapon, but out of the way) in case something goes wrong and I need to prove that it could have been stored using the silly lock they demand that people own.
What’s up with the shop owner telling him to practice with one round loaded because a recoil could cause a second to be fired. On a pump action?
Yup right next to the pump action shotgun that can somehow fire accidentally because of recoil. Still trying to figure that one.HMMM.
Atlantic Guns has been in Rockville a since 1950.
2? That is grandfathered in, I guess. United younger?
