Quinn and Rose are off the air, (temporarily, I hope!) Gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!

snap!
If not, why not?
They are bound by a non-compete. Yesterday, Rose sent out an e-mail that they had some excellent possibilities in the works. Here’s the link to yesterday’s thread with the e-mail:

Thnx.
Can’t wait to miss the State of the Union but I will hate not hearing Quinn’s take on it!!! Equally glad I quit watching award shows too. However the hubby and I will not miss the puppy bowl!
Temp
-14.4°F wind 9 mph windchill -33F
The forecasters claimed we would be at -11 by now...
Plus the 40 degrees Monday morning....they got that wrong.
ALmost forgot.
SPRING IS ON THE WAY! The sun is back above the horizon in the north. That means it's time for Up Helly Aa in Shetland.
That link takes you to the offical page with links to streaming cams in Lerwick, Shetland. You might have to go to the extreme bottom of the page to get a webcast now.
Starting at around 2 PM Lerwick time there should be more streaming cams. Later there will be the huge Viking procession as a Viking ship is dragged through the town by torch carrying men.
It culminates with the burning of the galley. If you have the time it's usually pretty interesting to watch.
My weather guy is talking about more bad weather around Feb 3-7.
When you live that far north you get real excited when the sun comes back.
Good morning!
Ain’t that the truth! I wonder if Quinn will be tweeting any comments! I refuse to watch the embarrassing spectacle as well, but I’ll follow along on the Free Republic live thread. I’m sure several brave souls will watch and comment!
I’m seeing temps in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s but snow posible.
My tv is at risk whenever BO is on!
Morning!
Temps dropping. It’s -6 here. It was -3 just awhile ago.
Our old house is nice and toasty - probably because of the furnace running constantly!! It’s a good thing we got a high efficiency furnace several years ago. The heating bill will still be high though - even on a budget!
Where do you find such cool sites? I checked it out, but didn’t see a link for a cam.
There should be a box that says watch online. That page has a live feed in the canter top. It probably won’t start for a ehile however if you g to the bottom of the page there should be links “market cross” and “town hall” those are streaming now. A few hundred vikings were just at market cross. They are probably headed for town hall now.
They are carrying shields and battle axes. Pretty intimidating!
Try the link in post ten. Scroll to the bottom of that page for links to town hall and market cross.
Good morning n’@!
P6, you find the most awesome websites:)
It’s -5 here w/ little wind. Last night there was a bad house fire in my township (everyone got out okay, but 3 vol firemen w/minor injuries). It started in a dryer and spread quickly. The house is just off major highway (on a hillside) ice was a huge problem...amazing the job our all VOLUNTEER companies did.
Well there is no school, I’m off, and I think I’m going to go back to sleep (if I can) :)
