In the early 1960’s I had a small Sony transistor radio, neatly fit in my pocket and was about 2 inches by 2 inches square. Wonderful sound. All the other makers were selling big box radios that were luggables. Loved that Sony radio, until a friend threw it out the car window because he hated the song that was playing (I had crazy friends).
