One black-and white photo shows Heinrich Himmler on an idyllic family outing, holding his wife's hand while his blond, pigtailed daughter is picking flowers. Others show the SS Nazi leader feeding a little fawn or taking a bath at Lake Tegernsee near his home in Bavaria.
The family-friendly, intimate scenes are part of a previously unseen collection of photos, recipe books and about 700 letters and notes believed to be written by Himmler, one of the Nazis most responsible for the Holocaust.
Excerpts from the collection appeared in seven full pages of the German paper Welt am Sonntag on Sunday. They contain large-sized images of Himmler surrounded by his family and excerpts from his love letters to wife Marga, calling her "my sweet, beloved little woman."

What would be interesting would be to find Hitlers signature on any of the Final Solution documents.
The implication you're trying to convey about there not being any signature of Hitler's regarding the Holocaust, as if, as if Hitler was not aware of the Holocaust, when he in fact was the driving force, master planner behind it, is a canard popular among Holocaust deniers as yourself, certainly one of the most egregiously ignorant, hateful things said about it by you and your Holocaust denying ilk.
Some moderator ought to ZOT you straight to Satan's lair with the rest of your Nazi compatriots.
I would like to visit Auschwitz and Normandy and Battan but alas I don’t think I’ll ever be able to. The closest I’ve ever come to visiting a concentration camp was working with a man in New York in the construction trade. One day I saw the numbers on his forearm. He told me his story. He was a German Jew. His father was an upolhsterer and furniture maker. On Kristhallnacht his shop was set on fire. His father, and later his mother and sister were sent to Auschwitz where they were gassed. He was sent to Dachau to work in a munitions factory. American GI’s rescued him. He was cared for by some nuns and later came to America to live with a relative.
Having lived in multiple states/regions, it amazes me how many American Jewish people that I’ve either worked with and/or met that possess no ability to detect tyranny. In fact, they run towards socialism and even fascism like a child running towards a mother’s embrace. Always, I’m the most pro-Israel of the bunch, while being a Christian.
BTW - The movie “Conspiracy” with Stanley Tucci is an excellent watch re: a heavily, secretive meeting of Nazi leadership to discuss early learning and implementation of “the final solution”.
Allegedly, Himmler ordered the gas chambers to be built, because he puked his guts out witnessing a mass execution of Jews.
He thought it would be more humane......for the killers, that is.
What did you think of Goldhagens book? I thought it was good.
Yes, thanks. I saw the film when it was first broadcast on HBO in 2001. Stanley Tucci is a wonderful actor.
Texas was part of the Confederacy. That isn’t anything to be thanking God for.
I preferred the original German version
Die Wannseekonferenz (with subtitles)

I guess we have a difference of opinion. Texas was its own republic, too.
Yes, the story is true and here are the details. The story is while watching Jews being killed by machine gun fire scraps of human brain tissue ended up on his uniform. Being someone of a frail constitution he became weak and dizzy from seeing brain tissue on his spiffy leather outfit, forcing him to reconsider the killing process in a manner that that was less visceral.
"Hitler's Willing Executioners" by Goldhagen contended that the extermination of Jews would have occurred even if Hitler never rose to power, that it was a pernicious gene within Teutonic DNA that brought out extreme hatred of Jews by Germans.
I can provide the information a little later if you'd like but am unavilable at the present being very tied up right now with a million different things.
>>What you wrote is so damn foolish, it really doesn’t merit a reply. It’s bilge.<<
You ought to educate yourself. First read about the Milgram experiments in the early ‘60s at Stanford. Then read “Ordinary Men,” about the pudgy, middle-aged, mail carriers and so forth who made up the Einsatzgruppen:
“The shocking account of how a unit of average middle-aged Germans became the cold-blooded murderers of tens of thousands of Jews.”
“Shocking as it is, this book gives evidence to suggest the opposite conclusion: that the sad-sack German draftees who perpetrated much of the Holocaust were not expressing some uniquely Germanic evil, but that they were average men comparable to the run of humanity, twisted by historical forces into inhuman shapes. Browning, a thorough historian who lets no one off the moral hook, interviewed hundreds of the killers, who simply could not explain how they had sunken into savagery under Hitler.”

Im currently reading Wendy Lowers Hitlers Furies. German Women In The Nazi Killing Fields. Its an eye-opener. They werent just all men who did the killing.<<
I got it on my Kindle, waiting for a chance to read it.

Yep, that’s what Shirer said.
Looks a little like Putin going to a Gay party.
#34: Re “Himmler coud paint the apartment and Hitler could hang the wallpaper in the hall”.
Rewrite time: “Himmler and Hitler could hang Jews in the hall”.
Let’s through in Eichmann to form the unholy trinity of Satan.
I had friends who dealth with both in the late 1930’s, early 1940’s and lived to tell about it. Also knew the Mossad agent who physically captured Eichmann in Argentina. What a feeling that must have been. Touching evil in real life!
02:18 Not too many people know this but Himmler, he was a terrific dancer.
Really, Gee we really didn't know that, did we, Leo?
Leo:No we sure didn't.
Because you were taken in by the BBC!!
Filthy British Lies!
But did they ever say a bad word about Winston Churchill??
Bleecch!!
With his cigars, brandy, rotten paintings!
Rotten!!
Now Himmler, there was a painter! He could paint an entire apartment in one afternoon.
Two coats.
