I think he nails it.
When the rich get marched into ovens and gassed to death he will have nailed it. To think he has nailed it today is beyond stupid and perverted.
You and him have lost all sense of proportion in order to make a point.
I am against this idiocy of trying to overtax the rich, but comparing this to extermination is a bit on the crazy side and is personally reprehensible to me.
I call it the Nazification of America and it has been going on since the end of WWII.
Our parallels to the events in 1930’s Germany are so manifest that it is amazing that even the LIV’s among us cannot see what a continuation of this track will mean. God Save the Republic!
After all, you seem to be fine with every incremental step our National Socialist Idlers Party takes in the very steps of the German National Socialist Workers Party.
And you seem to resent any comparisons or warning coming from anyone who is reading a few pages ahead...
Really???? Did you bother to read the letter??? If so and you disagree with the writer then maybe you are on the wrong site.....try reading it (again) and see if you don’t agree
Not only does this writer nail it, I need only point to the state in which you live to suggest that the progressives are well on their way to a version of Krystalnacht
Channeling Neville Chamberlain perhaps!?!?!?

Why no one ever grasp why hate the Jews..what is the stereotype antisemitism have
let make it simple
Nazi: Jews=Capitalist pig = kill them
Communist: Capitalist pig = kill them
Nazi have a two step genocide logic but Communist have a one step genocide logic so that why Communist are ahead on their body count
You and him have lost all sense of proportion in order to make a point.

Kristallnacht occurred before Kristallnacht was the harbinger of what followed. Your grasp of history is tenuous.

the ovens and the gas chambers.
Consider the limits on health care for those over 65.
Also read up on the death panels in Obamacare.
Otherwise, STFU.

Sounds like you’re only looking at Act 1.
You’re comparing Act 1 of the current USA Marxist takeover to Act 3 of the German NAZI takeover, then telling us they don’t compare.
Educated people recognize that Marxist/Communist or National Socialist (totalitarian) regimes don’t happen overnight. They are a progression.
Sometimes the progression is rapid (mideast), and other times the progression takes longer (USA), but Act 1 is rhetoric and Act 3 is mass murder.
If your crystal ball tells you we’ll never see Act 2 or Act 3 in the USA, good for you. But the rest of us don’t have crystal balls and didn’t study at the Hogwarts School of Magic.
If we get ‘this’ wrong, this time, there’s nowhere left to run to.
The author, Tom Perkins, is not “Comparing” overtaxing the rich to Gas chambers.
It’s his simple observation that the conditions that led to the gas chambers, the mind set of a certain portion of our media and society are very similar as they are currently being expressed.
Also, extermination sounds crazy TO YOU.
But to Obama, who started his career in the living room of the ‘Weatherman’ named Bill Ayers, extermination is AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE PLAN.
The FBI informant’s statement is on video. Search online and watch it. I think his name was Grathwol.
He recounts sitting with the Ayers terrorists. When they weren’t building or planting bombs, they were discussing their estimate of how many Americans they’d need to EXTERMINATE in order for their Communist utopia to come about.
They verbally estimated ‘about 25 MILLION people’ would absolutely refuse to cooperate with Communism, and thus would need to be exterminated.
Just because YOU’RE not crazy, doesn’t mean the Marxist fanatic isn’t crazy.
"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorantthey have been cheated; asleepthey have been surprised; dividedthe yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson? ... the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government, they should watch over it ... It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free."
So-called "progressives" understand the "divided" part of Madison's cautionary words, but the rest of us seem to ignore the rest of Madison's statement.
Might it have something to do with our not having been "well-instructed" in the ideas of freedom?
Edmund Burke, in his 1775 "Speech on Conciliation," observed the following "spirit" in America's founding generations:
"Permit me, Sir, to add another circumstance in our colonies, which contributes no mean part towards the growth and effect of this untractable spirit. I mean their education. In no country perhaps in the world is the law so general a study. The profession itself is numerous and powerful; and in most provinces it takes the lead. The greater number of the deputies sent to the congress were lawyers. But all who read, and most do read, endeavour to obtain some smattering in that science. I have been told by an eminent bookseller, that in no branch of his business, after tracts of popular devotion, were so many books as those on the law exported to the plantations. The colonists have now fallen into the way of printing them for their own use. I hear that they have sold nearly as many of Blackstone's Commentaries in America as in England. General Gage marks out this disposition very particularly in a letter on your table. He states, that all the people in his government are lawyers, or smatterers in law; and that in Boston they have been enabled, by successful chicane, wholly to evade many parts of one of your capital penal constitutions. The smartness of debate will say, that this knowledge ought to teach them more clearly the rights of legislature, their obligations to obedience, and the penalties of rebellion. All this is mighty well. But my honourable and learned friend on the floor, who condescends to mark what I say for animadversion, will disdain that ground. He has heard, as well as I, that when great honours and great emoluments do not win over this knowledge to the service of the state, it is a formidable adversary to government. If the spirit be not tamed and broken by these happy methods, it is stubborn and litigious. Abeunt studia in mores. This study renders men acute, inquisitive, dexterous, prompt in attack, ready in defence, full of resources. In other countries, the people, more simple, and of a less mercurial cast, judge of an ill principle in government only by an actual grievance; here they anticipate the evil, and judge of the pressure of the grievance by the badness of the principle. They augur misgovernment at a distance; and snuff the approach of tyranny in every tainted breeze." (Underlining added for emphasis)
Burke also declared to the Parliament that what he called the colonists' "fierce spirit of liberty" also must be attributed to their "religion," "under a variety of denominations agreeing in nothing but in the communion of the spirit of liberty."
You seem to miss somethinmg here.
This administration and the democrats (along with many willing republicans) has been following almost the exact same steps as Hitler and the NAZI party did when he first got elected, but before he gained complete control.
Believe when I say that we are one Kristallnacht away from the MSM, The entertainment industry, the education system and of course the democrat party calling for the end to elections an an elevation of Obama to supreme ruler.
If you cannot see it, then you want to be blind.
I’m sorry, Sakic, but I think you’re wrong on this one (and I’ve been reading you for a long time). I don’t think the parallels drawn by the WSJ letter-writer are hyperbole, I think they should be a genuine concern. Today’s gas chambers look more like the Doctor Offices that will become harder to find, and the Doctors we do find will be denying treatment.
Just because they don’t look like large communal showers this time doesn’t mean people are not going to start dying for their beliefs.
