Fluke: Birth Control Can Save the Economy!
Truth Revolt ^ | 1/25/2014 | Trey Sanchez

Posted on 01/25/2014 3:43:36 PM PST by markomalley

In reaction to Mike Huckabee's speech at the Republican National Committee winter meeting Wednesday, contraception advocate Sandra Fluke teamed with Planned Parenthood to offer her insights on how birth control helps women prevent one of life's biggest economic burdens -- children.

Fluke has a message for Huckabee and other "for-profit corporations" who want to deny their employees access to birth control:

Women who use birth control do not have an “overactive libido.” We are not looking for a handout from “Uncle Sugar” to score a contraceptive fix. We are not sluts.

We are just regular people trying to take care of ourselves medically and financially.

Not only does Fluke believe that birth control helps women financially, but mentally as well:

Birth control is vitally important to women’s physical and mental health, since it enables them to plan their pregnancies and manage their lives, expanding their opportunities.

And it can single-handedly fix the nation's economic woes:

Access to birth control is not just a health issue; it’s an economic issue. When women can control their lives with birth control, they can help the economy. It allows them to take better care of themselves and their families, support themselves financially, complete their education, and keep or get a job.

Slyly, the term "birth control" is now being used as a euphemism for abortion. For Fluke, and other leftist feminists like her, a pesky fetus is an avoidable "health issue" that can be cured by using birth control or even emergency contraception, which is essentially a high dose of "birth control."

In doing so, women's mental health can be improved, women can finally get a job or finish school, finally manage their lives, expand their opportunities and most importantly, impact the United States economy. Oh, but they'll need the government to provide all that birth control. Whatever did they do before it was all free?

What a useful idiot this Fluke is.

Since the recession started, the use of contraceptives has increased, resulting in a drop in the number of pregnancies. The CDC determined that this increased use of contraceptives is a direct result of the bad economy—women simply cannot afford to become pregnant.

If, as airhead Fluke claims, increasing contraceptive use could improve the economy, wouldn’t the economy be hopping now?

If this is true, then wouldn’t deporting “anchor babies”, their mothers and their sperm donors also work to help fix the economy?

You would think that with all the programs the government has that “saves taxpayers money in the long run” and all the give away programs that put more money back into the economy than they cost (Pelosi-unemployment) that this country should be crappin in high cotton.

FlUKe kinda destroys the Dems argument that we need illegals because of some sort of alleged shortage of workers. (Replacing the 55 million aborted?) Now they want to limit reproduction for some idiotic reasons.

Naw, we need a lot of uneducated ignorant law breakers to do unskilled work to ensure our AMERICAN unemployment rate, actual, 37+%, is stabilized. Can’t see any of her or the Dem arguments.

Australia slammed their doors and enforce their immigration laws. They are doing just fine. Seems their per capita Net Worth is No1 we are somewhere around 27. The US dropped out of the top 10 economic producers to 12 etc. Dems be real smartz wit dere utapioca dreams.

IF THE DUMB STUPID BITCH REALLY WANTED BIRTH CONTROLS TO BE MORE G_DDAMNED AVAILABLE MAYBE SHE SHOULD GET OFF HER SORRY ASS AND START LOBBYING OBAMA’S CRONIES IN THE G-FORSAKEN FDA TO MAKE BIRTH CONTROL PILL A NON-PRESCRIPTION DRUG LIKE FREEKING ASPIRIN OR TYLENOL.

AND DON;T TELL ME THAT BIRTH CONTROL PILLS ARE DANGEROUS, THEY ARE NO MORE DANGEROUS THAN OVERDOSING ON TYLENOL AND DRINKING BOOZE AT THE SAME DAMNED TIME AND LAST I CHECKED TYLENOL IS STILL AND OVER THE COUNTER DRUG!!!!!!!!

Sorry for yelling but it is actually the government’s fault that birth control pills are so blasted expensive!!!

So when ever a F^%&^%&*&^! lib whines about that they never take a clue to try to get government out of the way... You would think that birth control pills are freaking make out of unobtainium or something the way they are supposedly so damned expensive....

if you could buy 100 birth control pills for the same price as a bottle of advil then this sorry whiny crap tastic bitch wouldn’t have any such ground to stand on with her liberal putsch for more government intrusion in everyone’s lives.

Hmmm, maybe we could make a deal with devil....

“We will allow amnesty for any illegal who wants it provided they have their reproductive bits removed and that will be done free of charge”

Nah, the libs would get that com[promise passed then they would weasel their way out of it with a lawsuit or something decided by the 9th circus court of appeals....

[ That’s probably true in most cases. However, whether it’s a married woman or a promiscuous college student, there’s no reason she can’t pay cash, or her regular prescription copayment if her employer chooses to provide this coverage. ]

I say we force their hand and make BC pills over the counter, that way no insurance covers any of it!!!

Plus it would make it a LOT cheaper!

I really have to wonder if the LIBS love using the FDA to inflate prices of certain drugs so they can create a crisis....

On;y well connected cronies can lobby to get certain Prescription drugs made OTC, but surprise some of the oldest yest easier to synthesize drugs are still prescription only even thought their side effects are less worse than some of the pushed drugs that have been recently made OTC...

Compared to how important Sandra Fluke says they are, I don’t think birth control pills are really all that expensive. Unwanted pregnancies are not caused by the unavailability of birth control. Her agenda has nothing to do with birth control, it’s simply about control.

Yup and that is WHY the Government controlled FDA won’t take a simple step to make it more available.
