As a knowledgeable person, you know that Hitler was appointed Reich Chancellor by von Papen. His position as head of Germany was later confirmed by a plebiscite, but that was when he was already in office.

As for the Bolsheviks, they came in third during the 1920 election. The Bolsheviks, of course, ignored the results of the election.
