Those -14° range temps will freeze your sinuses and lungs unless you breath through a scarf or something.

It is difficult to breathe in air that cold. A scarf or other method of covering the mouth and nose is essential.
I was only out there long enough to walk to the street, grab the paper, wave ‘bye to Bryan and get back to the garage, perhaps 3 minutes.
And as I said, I had frost in my nostrils in even that short a time. I know better than to stay out in that, even if I weren’t so old and creaky.
I was born in Massachusetts, and I loved the snow a lot. I missed it when we moved to California when I was five, but Bryan used to take
me to Big Bear to make snowmen and have snowball fights and make angels when we were dating and after we got married.
LOL!! One time we were at the top of the Palm Springs Aerial tramway in the winter, and we were having a snowball fight. I didn’t have
any gloves, so I whined until Bryan bought me a pair. The first thing I did was wad up a huge snowball and fire it at him.
I still have those gloves.
And we’re still laughing about that one!
