Have seen some mass gathering Photos, but it appears most of the news sources outside Egypt are downplaying the number of demonstrators.

These are good photo's but none show the overall gathering size. I have seen photos that do. The only one I found that was decent quality, was from Al Jazeera and I refuse to use it.

All reports are the gathering is very large and the people are excited and defiant toward the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists.

I was offended that the VOA included the statement about National Police Day. Obozo effect I suppose, since he still supports Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists.

Even so it looks like a big crowd.
Loved the pic of the young girl with flowers
holding a picture of Nassar, Sadat, and Sissi.

The smart money has written off Egypt. Egypt has a population of eighty one million with the majority of the work force under or unemployed. If Europeans had confidence in Egypt’s future the wold be locating factories, assembly plants, and other labor intensive projects. Sadly there will be no prosperity, peace or stability in Egypt’s future. Thoughtful Egyptians realize that nothing has really changed. Mubarak , a strongman with a military background who gave a ceremonial nod to democratic ideals, will be replaced by Sisi who is a similar character. There are simply too many political Islamists in Muslim countries. There will never be a consensus with the Western oriented secularists.

Yup, people are wildly over-optimistic about the future of Egypt.

Sadly I think the strongmen are the best hope for any kind of peace the mideast. They keep a boot on the neck of the extremists but can never eliminate them. Democratic society runs counter to the grain of the muslim world.

With the right leadership, a poor nation can grow on it’s own.

Perceptive leadership with vision is a rare commodity. Look at our mess.

Ever watch the unwatchable world news with diane sawyer? There is absoluly nothing about the world, rehashed local feel good stories to dumb you down and keep you caged and unaware. Watch BBC NEWS at least you’ll know whats going on in the world, you may not agree with thier spin but there is quite a bit of mayhem going on we know nothing about

Yes, except for Fox the US news system is a total wasteland. Nothing worth watching.

Fox is not perfect but much better.

Here is a picture of Tahrir Square earlier today.

Tahrir Square at 16.30 full.

You won’t see that photo on the evening news.
