WASHINGTON (MCT) About 3 million people have now enrolled in health insurance plans sold through marketplaces created by President Barack Obama's health care law, the administration announced Friday.
The milestone indicates nearly a million additional people have signed up since the end of December. It also suggests that the marketplaces are continuing to recover from a disastrous launch on Oct. 1.

How many of the 3 million already had insurance but lost it due to Obamacare?
Last report on MD I saw said 97% of signups were medicaid.
“Sure we lose money on every new signup, but we make up for it in volume”
I don’t believe the numbers. not for an instant. Even it they are correct, the participation in the program is coerced, regardless.
I’ll continue to vote for liberty seeking candidates. I have very little hope for change, however. I do plenty of talking to young people (and old’uns like myself, here in Southern California)and this is the reason for having such low expectations.
It’s a huge state, and it holds significant weight in each federal election. Between New York and California voting for the nanny state, our side has a tough row-to-hoe.
the country has changed. liberty is on life support.
Assuming a currenct “cost” of $1trillion to ‘fix’ health care (so far) that’s only $330,000 dollars per person!
And now they want us to let them ‘fix’ immigration next.
Don't forget there's also no inflation. My State Farm homeowners insurance just went up 12% ($110). Fortunately that's probably not figured in the inflation stats. Don't count it, then it doesn't exist, right?
Remember the USSR? Bread was cheap. There just wasn't any to buy.
the country has changed. liberty is on life support.
Well, he did promise us Change.
the same administration that said it was a video that caused Benghazi?
the same administration that said we recovered economically.... 4 recovery summers ago?
the same administration that said it if you like your health plan you can keep it?
Well, then you don't have to believe my wife and I who have both received cards and used them (same providers as before).
The first set of cards we received was incorrect, though (wrong insurance company), so we had to wait two weeks for a correct set.
Are these some of those same “million” imaginary people that were Obama and Moochs Twitter followers?
Haven’t we already proven that it depends on what their meaning of enrollment is?
Of course this is nothing but propaganda. The media does have the responsibility of propping up the zero for the SOTU BS — which I won’t waste my time watching.
Sure.
And how many of these people are on this exchange because they lost their previous insurance and have no where else to turn? How many people who have insurance through the marketplace were previously uninsured? One study recently released indicated as few as 11%. That’s a disaster, and this report acts as though this is good news.
That is what I have been wondering - How many enrollees where people push out of their old plans? Apparently 89% of them.
Comradecare is still 4 million shy to keep it a float.
6 million LOST their plans EVERYONE REMEMBER, 6 million and
counting have LOST their plans!!!!
Do the math. 6.3 million people lost their health insurance in the individual market vs. 3 million new signups.
Indeed it’s all due to Obama&CO they got what they voted for TWICE.
Wasn’t there a thread yesterday about “Covered California” which mentioned that it was difficult to find a doctor who would accept it?
Ok a person starts at 150# goes on a binge and gains 150# and now weighs 300#. If they go on a diet and loose 100# should we compliment them? Have they done something great? They are still +50# from the starting point.
