You and Elsie are trying to apply an Old Testament model to a (relatively) still gospel-rich society.
The righteousness of Christ is CREDITED to believers. Even believers that misbehave. And indeed, that is “exalting” America even now! You and Elsie are spoiled tunnel-vision lookers. God deserves more gratitude than this. Sure, we have problems. The cure is not to prance around pointing hollering “Sin! Sin! Sin!” (Forgetting that you too are sinners.) It is to share the Good News gospel by every possible means

Have any of you tried very seriously (1) praising the Lord with joy and contentment for everything GOOD, of which there is QUITE a lot (2) taking the promises of the Cross at face value????
It’s like the proverbial Dr. Pepper. Until you try it you won’t know it “tastes good.” (And DOES good.)
