I think you’re correct. Timing is everything. Early unity focuses unity on a candidate, or maybe two (instead of a dozen), and MONEY. I have concerns on the money.
Seems the TP does not pattern the RNC, by having our own war chest, one worth attracting candidates. Everyone else does, but not us. What do we offer candidates, but split between them six ways from Sunday and dividing our cash contributions?
Time is running short. How would the TP organize and get this done for 2016?
I like the idea, but making it redundant because of timing would be unproductive.
We do need to try to settle on one candidate earlier, plus we need to strategize how to encourage as many RINO's as possible that they are presidential material and need to run.
The Tea Party fundraising power during 2010 badly scared the establishment. This is where the figure of nearly 70,000,000 Tea Party supporters came from.
Even if only half that number remain aligned with Tea Party issues, the fundraising power is enormous. The ebb and flow of funds creates uncertainty to the elite as to the power they are facing.
The IRS intimidation of Tea Party groups was/is designed to suppress this fundraising power of the Tea Party. It scares the ruling class.
The 50 million dollar figure spouted out by the US Chamber of Commerce is bluster, a scare tactic. They don’t have it.
But the Tea Party can get 50 million within days. Of course it is aggregated from many different groups. But it is very very significant.
