‘Gimme Shelter’: Film a Game Changer in Abortion Debate?

Ain't gonna' change nuttin'. Abortion is here to stay. I get a kick out of how it's ignored whenever they talk about the biggest killers of infants, and never once include the 1,300,000 babies slaughtered every year here in the good old United States.

Not true!

If the film is successful in getting just one girl or mother to save her "unborn" baby, then the movie would have been worth it. Hopefully it will save a lot more than one life.

What is the price of one life? If the cost to make the movie was multiple millions, and it saves just one life, then the price would have been worth it, and paying to see it would be more than worth it to help recover the cost, so that perhaps more such projects are encouraged for the movie-makers.

If it makes one pregnant girl turn back from the abortionist --- that fiend with a fistful of money in one hand, and a bloody knife in the other --- it's worth i.

If it makes one church extend their hospitality and outreach to women facing an untimely or difficult pregnancy, it's worth it.

We may not be able to stop all abortions, but we can stop some of them. Even if we just stop 50 abortions a year at the local late-term abortuary, by talking to and offering help to the girls and women who are on their way there, it’s something; it’s fifty more babies who are not torn, burned, and stabbed to death. Fifty lives at this clinic alone are worth something. Every life is worth something to God. Every woman who is dissuaded from murdering her child is saved from the subsequent guilt and misery.

Yes, I think movies like this can help. They help change the culture a little at a time.
