Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) warned Republicans Friday not to seek concessions in exchange for raising the nations debt ceiling.
Murray, fresh off negotiating a two-year budget deal with her House counterpart Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), said Democrats will not negotiate over raising the debt ceiling.
We will not negotiate over whether or not the United States of America should pay its bills, she writes in a letter sent to her Senate colleagues.

And so the stage is set for yet another Boehner cave in.
He probably wet himself upon hearing it.
Here come the lies again. The USA rakes in so much money every month to pay the debt 6 times over.
Republicans never learn. The Charlie Brown party.
This is almost funny it’s so sad. The is the same MFing line every few months. What a joke the GOP is.
She might make me shake if I met her in a dark alley. Other than that, I’d tell her to go F off.....
jimbo, you’ve captured the absolute essence of the situation!
We will not negotiate over whether or not the United States of America should pay its bills,
Translation: the House of Representatives shall have no power of the purse. It’s what the Senate wants or nothing! And we won’t simply spend what we take in either. We will intentionally default!
“Murray warns GOP on debt limit”
Having this 81 IQ bimbo “warning” you is like having a Pomeranian yelping at you.
But it’s probably enough to make Ryan, Boehner, and McConnell crawl under their desks.
Didn’t I read claims here last year that part of the October deal made it difficult for congress to stop the next two increases?
It required a super majority to stop from raising it?
I dont have a link yet.
Sigh. The ones who never learn are us. This is happening because the Republicans want it to happen. They’re not being duped. They’re not taking it in the tail pipe. They’re not caving. They’re getting what the want.
“Oh Lordy Lord, do what she say....do what she say....”
said Democrats will not negotiate over raising the debt ceiling.
In other words:
We have every right to enslave future generations in perpetual debt to pay for our wants and desires today, and don’t you dare try to stop us.
OK, then can we debate over whether the United States should run those bills up in the first place?
It’s like a degenerate gambler arguing how she needs her credit card limit raised so she can pay off her bookie.
We no longer have a debt ceiling. I am surprised Senator Murray did not know that.
Not likely. He never had any intention of fighting. It interferes with his golf.
It doesn’t matter. If they don’t pass one, Obama gets to submit one that takes effect unless both houses override it. That was in the last cave.
In the spirit of bi-partisanship Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) said Democrats will not negotiate over raising the debt ceiling.
