Unemployment supposedly fell from over 10% to under 7%. Can you show how much spending on unemployment, medicaid and food stamps has declined?

The wage differential dwarfs the cost of regulation compliance. So eliminating the costs of compliance isn't enough to solve our problem.

How much is the cost of regulation compliance?

You should direct that question to my retired furniture manufacturing engineer friends. The companies for which they once worked are gone. Regulation did them in, forcing production off shore.

To be acceptable, furniture required finishes that became impossible to provide and be in compliance. That was but one of the causes.

A lot of what you say is true, but some of it not so true.

In the 60’s and 70’s people laughed and scoffed at the “made in japan” label. Then in the early 80’s they were all of a sudden cleaning our clocks percentage wise, then by the late 80’s caught up with and surpassed the quality and value of American made cars.

It took funding for them to get there and we provided that funding and continue to provide that funding through trade deficits.

And .... that chart does not count as underemployed, those who are skilled and experienced, but working dead end low wage jobs because that's all there is and they are 'lucky' to get those jobs.
