Quinn and Rose are off the air, (temporarily, I hope!) Gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!

Good morning FRiends! SNAP!
Mornin’ everybuddy!
Good morning!
4 degrees last I checked. It’s a bus service day too. Had to run oldest son downtown at 5:30 this morning. He had to pay the fine from his DUI last year.
He just had to go to Taco Bell after several beers. Side swiped a pole less than a block from his house. Left side of his nice Buick was damaged as well as the transmission. Almost 5k damage.
He was ok but learned a hard lesson!
And now he’s the manager of Beer World....sigh.
-6 here....
You’re having a heat wave!
Just checked. We are at 1.
Morning AM!
now, -8F winds later today 30mph..
We are at 1 as well.
LOL! I think the whole beer thing goes along with having sons! I remember one incident - homecoming weekend - where son had a bit too much ‘celebration’. Almost got behind the wheel but was caught by a cop who just happened to be his karate instructor! The cop let him go, but they had to call his aunt to come and get him. We were out of town. He was embarassed to tell us about it, plus the cop wanted to talk to me (we worked in the same place) to give me the low-down on what happened. He said son was lucky it was him and not another cop!
Weren’t you at -15 the other day? I think that’s what weather channel said.
Oh and more models are now agreeing with Joe Bastardi saying the cold could stay through groundhog day.
Good morning n’@!
A near tropical 0 here...on a 2 hr delay. Last night was my “late” night...during my 10hr day I saw fire trucks going and coming to accidents multiple times. Listening in on scanner App kept hearing “can we get a salt truck here?”
Now to weather...from following Bastardi I had also been reading his tweets w/a former coworker at AccuWeather, Bernie Rayno. So about a month ago (when the long range forecasts started on the coming PolarVortexs) I followed him too. Rayno, who predicted the “surprise” nor’easter last week says we (mid Atlantic Rust Belt) should have a significant snow Sunday night into Monday...and next threat would be Wed/Thurs (but the 2nd one could dip too far south and like last week have a coastal track). In any event, Bastardi has now a legion of meteo types (a lot of TV wx people) agreeing w/him on duration of PV2.0 going thru 1st week of Feb. their 140 character conversations are fascinating to read (learning a lot)...like WE should be thankful for Allegheny Plateau, it saves us from nor’easter a and keeps SWPA “sheltered”.
Gotta get the teen moving ...bbl.
Monday will be 2 for the high and -17F for the low with 25 mph winds... I’m staying inside.
Just tried listening to Quinn & Rose’s replacement. Untalented, crude, tasteless and boring.
Yeah - ‘Bloomdaddy’ is terrible!!! Mornings at home, I either listen to Jeff Kuhner in Boston, Chris Plante in DC or nothing at all.
sadly I’m in the “listen to nothing at all” category. Can’t do the computer set up as people are going out door...radio is only viable solution for me. I pick up info later via FR and twitter (I follow many Tea Partiers).
I REALLY miss Quinn and Rose :-(
Woo hoo! He snuck that in this morn:) (he hadn’t tweeted yet when I checked earlier). GREAT NEWS!!!
Yeah.....that guy is not very good....
And I try to listen to KDKA on my driving to my stops but its a station for either really old or really stupid people.
