... also did a drive by ...

I figured it was strike three.

"Unsportsmanlike conduct" wasn't on my radar.

Anyone with hair like that is yelling “Look at ME look at ME!!!”

Seems to be working for him if he can afford a Lamborghini.

"It doesn't get any better than boosting a lambo and picking up chicks at 17,"
texted Wade to a friend.

Reportedly, he is expected to be eligible for parole in 17 or 18 years.

“Reportedly, he is expected to be eligible for parole in 17 or 18 years.”

How does life plus twenty one translate in to eligible for parole in 17? Must be the new math.

Beats me. I assume SFGate has access to lawyers who could give a reliable estimate.

He seems like a likable down to earth guy.

Guy's a feminine hygiene product.

Not that Robert Irvine is any great shakes (see resume lies), but Ferry (original BC name) got Irvine to do some charity thing, and when Irvine ran into problems for the event, Mr. DB wouldn't let Irvine's people use his restaurant a couple of blocks away to help ameliorate the issues for the event.

The clip is probably still on Youtube.

He’ll have lots of boy friends on the cell block.

That’s crazy, why disrespect someone for spending their own money how they choose? Do you also resent someone who lives in a McMansion when a 900 square foot condo would do?

I don’t resent them. I look down on them.

And while I would fight for the right of someone to buy a half million dollar car, it is my opinion that it is asinine to do so. I would not respect someone who did it.

An utterly dumb thing to say. Those big-spenders help support families whose members work on the trades that go directly and indirectly into the making of that $500,000 car, and more like it. Envy and jealousy are the usual authors of statements like the one underlined.

We disagree friend. There is a sickness in a person who spend half a million on a car.

The sentence is life (with possibility of parole), concurrent with the 21 year sentence. This means he’ll be out on parole in about 7 years (unless he kills people while in prison).

Life for stealing a Lamborghini — it won’t stand.

You can actually get all 3 strikes in one trial. Additionally, the jury doesn’t get to know the potential sentence during deliberation.

I was on a jury for a month with defendants charged with 5 counts of attempted murder with great bodily injury and gang, handgun and street terrorism enhancements. We convicted 1 of the 2 defendants (both with no priors) and he got 25-life.

That’s just stupid dude. If someone made a fortune, and wants to spend it on something that took a lot of technical and innovative skill and resources to produce what the hell would you “have pity on them” for?

What would your holier than thou-ness have them spend it on? Personally, the only reason I wouldn’t shell for the multi hundred K car if I were in those shoes is because I could think of cooler recreational stuff to get, like a used tank, or an NFA Trust and a hoarking big destructive device from WWI or II...

Now, I could handle your line if they went into debt for it, because that would just be idiotic...
