That’s a very big IF dear. I do not find in all history any example of a Republic that loses it’s foundations ever regaining liberty for it’s people once that liberty is traded or lost.
A bloody mess usually ensues followed by a brutal dictatorship and then … captivity or extinction.
As Adams stated in a letter - “Liberty once lost is lost forever”.
It’s going to take this nation of people to do a Nineveh - and since I do not see the subject of national repentance talked about much even in the churches, I am not optimistic.
The Founders believed they suffered a tyrant because of their collective and individual sins.
I suppose until this people believe that also, then we will be ruled by tyrants for we traded being governed by God for being governed by the tyranny of men.
