I think this has more to do with a documentary he made back in 2012 than it does with election laws. Since when do democrats care about election law?
A lot of Hillary Clinton contributors got in the same kind of trouble a few years back, as did a major Biden donor. The practice and prosecutions for it seem to be pretty common. Usually it’s some corporate executive who takes a risk illegally reimbursing his employees. D’Souza, a pretty small fish who acted out of idealism, should have steered clear of the practice.
