States should enact laws that prohibit such immigrants from voting in OTHER THAN Federal elections for two years.
That would provide the new residents enough time to understand just what the local/State politics and leanings really are, and I think it would lead to many more who would assimilate into their new locales and less of the crap of trying to change things to equal what they ‘escaped’ from.
